Sometimes, I think, people’s insane babbling is so ridiculous that it doesn’t even bear addressing, but rather should just be dismissed quickly and quietly, lest its lunatic, baseless nature be given some credence and validation. “I won’t justify that with a response,” the old saw goes. Some years ago, I recall a talk show host [...] [...] In response to the President’s hosting behavior at his recent invitation-only Nuclear Security Summit, Jeffrey Kuhner, in the Washington Times (the newspaper equivalent to Fox News Channel), says in a recent editorial that “By bowing, Mr. Obama degraded and cheapened the office of the presidency; as commander in chief, he represents every American when meeting [...] [...] Neil Cavuto needled the President of Georgia, Mikhail Saakashvil, repeatedly, attempting to get him to complain that the POTUS didn’t meet with him individually, although he met with the heads of Russia and other major players. Mr Saakashvil did indeed talk by telephone with the POTUS, was planning an extensive face-to-face meeting with the [...] [...] So yesterday, President Obama and President Dmitry Medvedev signed NewSTART, a much-delayed Arms Reduction treaty that would shrink the Cold War Superpowers’ nuclear arsenals by about a third over seven years, from 2200 each to 1550, the lowest point since the scary arms race in the 1960s.
